Even after relocating, I continued my care with them because I couldn’t find another dentist who shares Dr. Cziao’s philosophy. When I first started seeing Dr. Cziao, my mouth was in dire condition; I had gum disease, numerous cavities, and honestly, I felt embarrassed to even smile. Dr. Cziao personally followed up on my care, checking my bacteria levels after cleanings to address the root causes of my issues. Now I am no longer dealing with gum disease, all my cavities were treated, and not a single metal in my mouth.

I found seattle dental care after a long search and many dental visits. They were able to answer my questions and find the root cause of my dental issues. My previous dentist had placed porcelain coated metal crowns for me and unfortunately, I am allergic to these metals in my mouth. No one was able to find why my teeth were sensitive and my gums were so inflamed until I met Dr. Cziao (I brush and floss twice a day). I had the old crowns taken out and did a laser treatment. I have previously taken my 4 year old daughter to three different Pediatric dentist within the Seattle area leaving the office feeling very discouraged and hopeless as a parent. My daughter has had a hard time staying still for x-rays and allowing anyone near her mouth for a long period of time. After multiple visits I received the same answer from each provider; that I would have to put my child under general anesthesia in order to successfully provide her with the dental care she needed. That she had way too much “energy” and they would not be able to complete the care plan unless I agreed to do so. After taking her to several dentist appointments I started to notice and feel that she would get a burst of energy to distract her from the anxiety she was feeling. No doctor seemed to have the patience for her. But I was not going to give up on finding a provider that I felt comfortable caring for my child and who didn’t want to relay on putting her under general anesthesia to give her with the care she needed. I decided to make a visit to Seattle Dental Care after a nice telephone interaction with the receptionist. She had left me feeling very hopeful after sharing my story with her. At our 1st visit the dental assistant was very welcoming, took her time and didn’t force anything on my child. We meet with Dr. Cziao who was very pleasant and we set up a care plan. Today we came in for our first treatment and he was extremely gentle and patient with my daughter. He took extra time to make her comfortable and was very understanding to all her needs.Definitely would recommend to others, thank you to the entire staff!

I’ve been coming to Seattle Dental Care for many years and continue to be confident in the high level of consciousness that this team has in providing holistic, cutting edge dental care that looks at the impact any treatment will have for the long run. Not only are they thinking about the health impact of procedures and materials used but they are artists in the work they do. One recent trip involved a tricky front tooth repair from a horizontal chip. They were able to find a solution and make a repair that looks great and is dentally sound. I have had other recent work done as well and am very happy with the outcome. It continues to be a pleasure (hard to believe I can combine pleasure with dental work, but it’s true) to have the needed work done for long term health through this office.

I don't know where to start. This office is filled with amazing people. They offered warm herbal tea as I walked in, and was brought back promptly. This office may have one of the most beautiful views of any dental office—the Sound in all its glory—and it is there for the benefit of the patients as they sit in the dental chairs. But we don’t go to dental offices for the view; we go hoping and expecting that we will receive excellent care. Those who go to this practice will not be disappointed. Because of the pandemic and a family crisis on the East Coast I have not been going to a dentist for, I am afraid to say, several years. I need a lot of work. But I am in good hands. This dental practice combines both the holistic and the medical in its approach to patient care. Therefore, the patient is treated like a person rather than a dental case. On the other hand, I have been impressed by how technologically advanced this dental practice is. The dental hygienist uses more advanced methods of cleaning that I have been used to. I already feel better even though I have not had any dental procedures yet. I am also happy to report that Dr. Cziao is more conservative in his approach to developing a plan. That is an enormous relief to someone like me who does need a great deal of work, but all in good time. Then there are the other things that I very much appreciate, like a very friendly and considerate staff, an office that is beautifully designed; and even hot tea with herbs while I am in the waiting area;. Finally, I have never been in a dental office that stresses education as much as this one. I feel fully informed about what is being done and why. For all these reasons and more, this will be my dental office indefinitely.

Wonderful service and attention to detail. Hands down the most comfortable and professional dental experience I've had in my life. I've been going here for the last few years and they were the first to directly address the current bacteria level in my mouth and provide manageable steps to mitigate it. I had first visited them for veneers due to discolored teeth from trauma. Long story short, my smile has never looked better and I’m going back to become a long term patient.

After two failed root canals on the same tooth, I’ve finally decided to give holistic dentist a try. My first appointment was filled with information that I had been seeking answers to and symptoms that I had been suffering. I found this clinic for my spouse, who suffers from dental anxiety. When we first stepped in, staffs were welcoming, and friendly. Most of all, I actually heard my partner asking the doctor questions and heard them laughing too. While my partner was getting cared, I was offered water and tea, and sat in their waiting room glazing out at the spectacular view of the water.

Dr.Cziao is absolutely amazing! He has a soft hand when he went in to place the anesthesia… I didn’t feel anything he was very patient with me from the beginning. He made me feel comfortable and i was able to get through the treatment perfectly fine. It was a smooth process and the assistants are amazing aswell! Definitely recommend this place if you want a Dentist that actually cares!

The team has made what could have been a very unpleasant experience - including removal of a very old infected root canal - much more bearable.

Without reservation I recommend Dr Rick Stickney and his staff. His office is above World Market, near Pike Place Market, with free parking below He was referred to me by a Holistic MD, about 15 years ago, soon after I arrived in Seattle. He is a Holistic Dentist, always learning and staying on top of new developments. I have been living with Chronic Illness for decades. I have strange symptoms which include my teeth and gums. I have been very sensitive to drugs, chemicals, metals, etc I have had dental experiences in the past that have been detrimental to my overall health. Therefore, I have invested in working with Dr Stickney, and I am very grateful for his care, and that of his staff.
Dr. Stickney Saved my front tooth!!!!! After being told by a highly regarded dentist, who had also consulted with two other dentist in Kirkland that I would need a bridge to fix my front tooth I decided to get one more opinion and this time with a holistic dentist and lucky me that dentist was Dr. Stickney. At my first appointment with Dr. Stickney he listened to all of my concerns regarding my front tooth and before giving me an opinion, sent me out to get a 3d X-ray of my teeth. After getting the 3d X-ray back Dr. Stickney sat down with me and told me that a bridge, in my case would not be a good choice!!! He told me the roots to my front teeth were too short, from having braces and could not withstand the pressure that would be put on them by a bridge. Dr. Stickney then re-xamined my front tooth. Be began to work on it and I assumed he was temporarily securing the loose crown, to buy me some time until an implant could be made. Dr. Stickney got out his laser and lasered the area around around the gum where I had lost my tooth. He worked away and I was very thankful to have my tooth secured for the time being. When Dr. Stickney finished he casually told me my tooth was fixed and it should last me for a very long time!!!!!!!! Dr. sticky used ozone to disinfect the area before securing the crown. He used anesthetic that did not make me sick. He was kind gentle and compassionate and He saved my front tooth. I had thought getting another opinion was a waste of time. Three dentist all had the same opinion there was no way they could anchor the crown since there was nothing left to anchor it too. My front tooth crown is now secured as if it was my own tooth. If I had followed through with my previous dentist I would have had 3 teeth taken out to make a bridge for one tooth and on top of that it would not have lasted!!!!!! I thank God I took the time to see Dr. Stickney. It was a miracle that I found him as I could have gone to 100 dentists and none of them would have had a laser, ordered a 3d X-ray, used ozone.....etc. I would have gotten a bridge and that would have failed too. Dr. Stickney is my dentist for life and I am so blessed to have found him. I can not put into words what he and his wonderful staff did for me. A front tooth is something money can not buy. I still can not believe how blessed I was to find him: he is a diamond in the ruff. Thank you Dr. Stickney and staff from the bottom of my heart.
I am a grateful patient of dr stickney. Dr stickney is an exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable dentist with many years of experience. Even though he runs a busy practice he makes time to keep up with the latest developments in dentistry and is willing to include new techniques that have been well tested but are not currently mainstream. Its very likely that many of the techniques he is using now will be widely available in 20 years or so. He and his staff are very caring and were willing to really listen and understand what my dental issues where. I believe dr stickney provides the most natural approach to dentistry that is currently available. He emphasizes a preventive approach with the latest techniques for finding dental issues very early so treatment can be as minimal as possible not just relying on x rays alone. He is also very knowledgeable of natural supplements to help strengthen teeth. He uses natural anesthetics and sterilizing techniques such as ozone instead of unnatural mainstream alternatives and finally he is very skilled at dental cosmetics and is very sensitive to making your teeth look the best they can. I discovered dr stickney when I had a crown that had failed. The original drilling required getting very close to the nerve. Although the dentist was very skilled it took years for the tooth to stop hurting and I was told it would be wise to do a root canal because there was a good chance the nerve had been so traumatized by the drilling that it would likely die. I decided to take my chances and it did eventually recover but 10 years later the crown failed and I was told by a couple of dentists that I should go directly to a root canal because the chance of saving the tooth was now very low. I decided to do some research and read about how lasers can be helpful in this situation because they cause less trauma to the nerve than a conventional drill without the heat from the friction so I looked for a dentist who was using one and found dr stickney. When I had my appointment dr stickney told me there was a very good chance that he could save the tooth. Using a laser and other techniques and years of experience the procedure was quick and comfortable and to my astonishment the tooth didn't hurt at all after the numbing wore off and has been fine for over a year . Given that dr stickney had to go even closer to the nerve than in the original drilling with such drastically better results convinced me of just how exceptional dr stickney is
We're so happy to have found Dr. Stickney! He and his staff comprise the friendliest, most peaceful dentist's office we have found (and we've been to several). Our little one needed a lot of work, and was fearful from previous experiences, but now she loves going to see Dr. Stickney! We travel from Mt. Vernon quite willingly.
I went to an oral surgeon for some extractions then some follow up due to extreme pain and discomfort. After weeks of this I tried Dr Stickney based on a friend's referral, wow what a great idea that turned out to be! He and his staff were the only ones able to alleviate the pain and get me back to healing. This was all done without meds, which my previous doctors had just kept prescribing. In fact here, they used LASERS!!! Thank you technology. Also the bedside manner of the doctor and his assistants was 2nd to none. I will go back for any dental concern to get this stellar care again, truly a standout in this day of doctors pushing drugs or not caring about their patients.

In addition to routine dental care I have had old amalgam fillings removed and replaced with porcelain, new partial and full crowns made and most recently some veneer work to correct a very crooked front tooth. In every instance Dr. Stickney and his team have done top notch work. Dr. Stickney provides holistic care using modern techniques and materials. He is meticulous insuring the fillings, and crowns are shaped and fitted correctly. The most recent work, correcting my very crooked front tooth, highlights his years of experience and artistry. I am so pleased with my new smile that I find I am smiling again. Routine care is approach with the same attention to detail by his co-workers and his office staff is always helpful and attentive.
